Art Exhibition by Ian Cheng following an ancient community living with the threat of a volcanic evolution.

Emissary Sunsets the Self is the conclusion to Ian Cheng’s trilogy where a civilation is developed and every agent in the simulation needs to meet their own needs. This includes:

  • survival needs (food / water)
  • social needs (playing with others, conflict, etc)

Roles  

  • Developed a Utility Theory based AI Editor allowing the team the design the agent’s behaviours and monitor their needs
  • Optimized runtime to ensure that simulation can run hundreds of agents simultaneously while keeping framte rate at 60 FPS.
